Opening Ceremony Remarks

Once again the Phnom Penh Post and the Cambodia Daily have covered AGPA and the failed attempt at an opening ceremony. Both papers have done an excellent job of covering the developments and changes to AGPA’s schedules. And of course they’ve also tried to convey the difficulty that the owner of Stung Meas restaurant owner has to deal with as various authorities make his life difficult.

That said, such antics have yet to cease at other events. Today other venues are being harassed by authorities with power and water being cut; demands made for agendas and letters of permission; as well as the ever ubiquitous police presence increasing outside of the venues. They have been both in uniform and undercover.
